The programme of the Summer term consists of two and three week intensive modules primarily in the fields of business, information technology and environmental engineering. Lectures are delivered either in the mornings or in the afternoons. Furthermore students complete course works, group-based assignments, case studies and laboratory work. Good skills in English is absolutely necessary for all participants. Some courses have prerequisites, see the relevant course description for details.

Summer courses are taught by lecturers of Saimia UAS and Mikkeli UAS but also visiting professors from our foreign partner universities. We are delighted to be able to welcome them to Finland. This summer we have visitors i.a. from USA, Canada and The Netherlands.

You will study in an intercultural environment and meet several people from other countries and cultures. If you are travelling alone, you will quickly make friends with other students during the classes or social events. Although the core of the summer term is its students and courses, also other aspects are an important part of an exciting summer in Finland. We organize social activities during the summer of which you will receive more detailed information upon your arrival. During your stay you will have an opportunity to explore Finland and cities in neighbouring countries, such as St. Petersburg in Russia, Tallinn in Estonia and Stockholm in Sweden.
